Data & Privacy Statement
MOPbot is designed to collect as little information as possible.
Last updated: July 1, 2026
We do not ask users to provide names, phone numbers, addresses, medical information, legal information, or other personal details. Users should not enter personal information into the chatbot or feedback forms.
What we may collect
To understand basic usage, MOPbot may collect limited anonymous usage data, including:
- The number of unique users.
- The number of returning users.
- A randomly generated user ID used only to recognize whether a browser has visited before.
This user ID is used for basic counting purposes only. It is not meant to identify a specific person.
How your messages are processed
The text a user types into the chatbot is sent to a third-party AI provider, OpenAI, via its Chat Completions API, which generates MOPbot's responses. As of March 1, 2023, data sent to the OpenAI API is not used to train or improve OpenAI models unless we explicitly opt in to share it with them. You can review OpenAI's privacy policy at https://openai.com/policies/us-privacy-policy/.
We do not attach names or personal identifiers to these messages. By default, OpenAI generates abuse monitoring logs for API usage, and retains messages sent through the Chat Completions API for up to 30 days for this purpose, unless a longer period is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect its services or others from harm. Beyond abuse monitoring, the Chat Completions endpoint does not otherwise retain message content as stored application data.
To read more on this topic, see https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/your-data.
Users can contact healthbridgememphis@gmail.com with questions or requests about their data.
How we use it
MOPbot does not use this information to diagnose, treat, track, or personally identify users. The information is used only to help evaluate and improve the chatbot during testing and development.
Third-party services
Some parts of this site rely on separate third-party services that operate under their own privacy policies. These include Google (for the volunteer sign-up form) and GoFundMe (for donations). When you interact with those services, information you submit is handled by them, not by MOPbot.
