VOLUNTEER GUIDE
How to Use MOPbot
A quick guide to getting the most out of MOPbot during the pilot period.
What to ask MOPbot
MOPbot is designed to answer questions related to overdose prevention, harm-reduction education, local resources, public health statistics, and general recovery support.
Volunteers may type questions including, but not limited to:
- "Where can I get naloxone in Memphis?"
- "What is naloxone?"
- "What are common signs of an overdose?"
- "What should someone do if they think a person is overdosing?"
- "What are some local overdose statistics?"
- "Where can someone find treatment or recovery support?"
What to expect
After sending a message, please give the chatbot a few moments to respond. Response times may vary.
This version of MOPbot is a demo, so some responses may be incomplete, unclear, or incorrect. MOPbot can make mistakes. Always double-check important information, especially emergency guidance, phone numbers, addresses, hours, legal information, and treatment resources.
MOPbot uses a set of local information, including Memphis resources, overdose education, public health statistics, and Tennessee harm-reduction/legal information. If MOPbot does not answer a question correctly or cannot give a specific answer, that information may not be in its database yet.
If a response is not helpful, try asking the question again in a different way.
Please do not refresh or reload the page during a session. If the page is reloaded, the current chat history may be lost.
Usage limits
To help us test the system responsibly, please do not send more than 40 prompts per day. If you are participating in the pilot or trial period, we encourage you to send at least 10 meaningful prompts per day when possible.
Sharing feedback
Please use the feedback button to share your experience, report unclear or incorrect responses, suggest missing resources, or explain how MOPbot could be improved.
